Leftovers: Wrap 'em Up

Leftovers:  Wrap'em up and love them!  A good quality soft tortilla can become a fancy wrapping for yesterday's leftovers and turn them into something rather special; something other than the "same old"  they really are.  Using leftovers this way is healthful, economical, delicious and a time saver. As previously posted, tortilla wraps are on the SimplyCooking® Pantry Checklist and are an indispensable ingredient.  Here are some SimplyCooking® recipes for which the leftovers make great wraps.  

black bean and orzo salad
Place spoonfuls in the middle of a tortilla and wrap.  Serve room temperature or chilled.

chicken curry
Fill tortillas with leftover Chicken Curry, rice and and few curry condiments such as diced apple or nuts.  Roll and microwave until nicely heated through.

green rice
Fill tortillas with leftover Green Rice.  Roll and microwave until nicely heated through.

lemony caesar salad
This great salad gets a new look wrapped in a tortilla.  Place prepared salad on tortillas.  Roll and slice into two or three sections for a nice sized pick-up wrap.

pepper-marinated grilled sirloin
Place sliced sirloin on a tortilla.  Top with chopped tomtoes, lettuce and a dollop of sour cream or yogurt.      Roll and serve warm, chilled or room temperature.

red beans and rice
Fill tortillas with leftover Red Beans and Rice.  Roll and microwave until nicely heated through.
