A limited amount of ingredients canned, jarred or in tetra packaging make cooking from scratch doable on a daily basis. These are valuable in everyday cooking.  Ideally we make our own stock, roast our own peppers and soak and cook beans.  But we cannot always take these steps and with a well-curated pantry,  cooking daily is not only possible but is enjoyable.
