The truth about the effects of sugar is not so very sweet. Why, then are so many listed on the SimplyCooking® Pantry?  Sweeteners do have a place. Cooking from scratch requires  judicious use of a variety of sweeteners.  It's only he/she who cooks from scratch that truly chooses how often sweeteners are consumed through deciding which recipe to make and which sweetener to use for that occasion. SimplyCooking® recipes use a variety of sweeteners sparingly.  Some recipes are denoted as using no white sugar or white flour.
