Afternoon Tea Time with Hot Chocolate Like Angelina
Angelina in Paris is known for it’s fine hot chocolate. It’s a delightful spot brimming over with chocolate delicacies and happy people lingering over lunch or afternoon tea. But you can also make a “pot” of hot chocolate at home with your own fine ingredients from your pantry.
steamy hot cacao
12 oz. milk of choice
1 heaping tsp cacao powder
2 heaping tsp brown sugar
pinch salt {Celtic Sea Salt, preferable}
dark chocolate, a small square or a few chocolate chips, optional
Warm the milk in a small pan on the stove top until steamy, but, importantly, never let it boil. In a large mug or 2 cup measuring cup stir the cacao, brown sugar and salt. Add the dark chocolate if desired. Add the steamed milk slowly, stirring briskly until smooth. Pour into your favorite cup with a little left for topping it off.
