A Fine Dessert is Yogurt with Honey

Through our Greek dining adventure we enjoyed many fine desserts. Equal among them was a generous bowl of yogurt with honey. This is just enough sweetness to finish off a beautiful meal. As I have done in the above photo, adding just a few berries, slivers of fresh basil or other herb or an edible flower elevates this simple dessert to extraordinary. The flower in the photo is borage from my garden. Borage is an unusual plant, all parts edible and tasting of cucumber.

Dessert gives us a few more minutes at the table to linger, relax and enjoy conversation. And a simple dessert like plain yogurt, either that you buy or yes, make yourself, and honey is just fine.
